Hollow Mouth Eggbutt
The Eggbutt prevents pinching of the lips and give a slightly more solid feel against the side of the face. As the rings are fixed to the mouthpiece they keep the bit steady in the mouth.
Jointed Hollow Mouth Eggbutt features:
- Works on the roof of the mouth and bars, although less than a standard eggbutt because of the. extra thickness, due to the nutcracker action.
- Can help prevent the horse from getting its tongue over the bit due to the high nature of the bit mouthpiece in the horses mouth when in use.
- A thicker, lightweight mouthpiece is good for sensitive horses with average tongues.
- The hollow-mouth eggbutt snaffle can be used in dressage competitions.
- Bit strength: fairly mild
